Baseball Recap: William Byrd Comes Up Short

William Byrd was the 5-1 winner over Northside when they last played one another on May 1st, but their luck changed this time around. The Terriers took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cannin Lutz and Kylind Spence did some serious damage despite the final result: Lutz went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Spence got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

William Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Northside, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

As of now, neither William Byrd nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
