The home team had won the previous two meetings between Allatoona and Cass, and Allatoona kept the tradition alive. The Buccaneers put the hurt on the Colonels with a sharp 12-4 victory on Thursday. Considering the Buccaneers have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Allatoona is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Cass, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Allatoona will challenge Woodland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cass, they will take on Chattooga at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
