Soccer Game Preview: Escondido Charter vs. University City

The Escondido Charter Tigers will take on the University City Centurions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Escondido Charter sitting on 11 straight victories and University City on three.

Escondido Charter is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Monte Vista get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Monte Vista with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Abigail Gilbertson (2), Ananti Medina, and Natalie Lewis.

Meanwhile, University City beat Calexico 3-1 on Wednesday.

Escondido Charter's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those seven contests. As for University City, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
