If Legend was feeling good fresh off their 15-3 takedown of Mountain Vista last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans fell just short of the Ponderosa Mustangs by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Titans' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

Maddie Kessel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Vienne Wold made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lucy Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Legend's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-5. As for Ponderosa, they pushed their record up to 9-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Legend has already played their next matchup, a 15-13 win against Regis Jesuit on the 3rd. As for Ponderosa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-0 victory against Highlands Ranch on the 3rd.
