The Harper Creek Beavers will face off against the Western Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Friday, Harper Creek earned an 11-6 win over Hastings.
Connor Rosenburg made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

In other batting news, Harper Creek got a massive performance out of Maddox McCarty, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. McCarty has become a key player for the Beavers: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-10-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kobe Cordova, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.
Harper Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hastings only posted a batting average of .276.
Meanwhile, Western waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Big Reds 15-1. Considering the Panthers have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
The victory got Harper Creek back to even at 11-11-1. As for Western, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
Harper Creek beat Western 7-3 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Beavers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
