Preview: Frazier Commodores vs. Washington Prexies

Two dominant guards in Allie Yauch and Olivia Woods are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Frazier Commodores will be playing in front of their home fans against the Washington Prexies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Frazier came up short against Monessen and fell 46-35. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Frazier in their matchups with Monessen: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Washington earned a 44-31 win over Brentwood on Monday. The victory was just what Washington needed coming off of a 51-23 loss in their prior game.

Washington found their leader in underclassman Woods, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Woods has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaprice Johnson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Frazier has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Washington, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8.

Frazier was dealt a bruising 48-16 defeat at the hands of Washington when the teams last played on January 2nd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Woods, who scored 15 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Now that Frazier knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
