Basketball Recap: Burbank Extends Winning Streak to Seven

While Burbank didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 39-26 win over the Armijo Royals on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans who have now won seven matchups in a row.

Burbank's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aniyah Bufford, who almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, 26 rebounds, and nine steals. Bufford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season. Daejahmonni Tagger was another key player, putting up 19 points along with six boards and four steals.

Burbank smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 34 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Burbank pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.0 points per game. As for Armijo, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

The future could be bright for both Burbank and Armijo: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently.
