Basketball Recap: St. Francis Gets the Win

St. Francis won the last time they faced Rio Americano and Lexi London did her part to make sure it happened again. The Troubadours came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 55-44 on Monday with plenty of help from London, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 12 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of St. Francis' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Vipond, who posted six points and four steals. Vipond is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

St. Francis' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Rio Americano, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, St. Francis won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Vista del Lago at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rio Americano, they are taking a road trip to take on Twelve Bridges at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
