Softball Recap: Clinch County Takes a Loss

Clinch County lost against Irwin County back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alyssa Giddens made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Annalee George also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Clinch County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Irwin County, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Clinch County will welcome Fitzgerald at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Irwin County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Valdosta at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
