Soccer Game Preview: Georgia Military College vs. Treutlen

The Georgia Military College Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Treutlen Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Georgia Military College will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Georgia Military College is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They put the hurt on Montgomery County with a sharp 12-3 victory on Tuesday. Greyson Robbins was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Georgia Military College used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Montgomery County. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Max Adams (45), Damien Moore (55), and Caleb Sherwood (27). The trio had averaged 16.9, 24.4, and 16 minutes respectively before Tuesday's contest. Adams made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Treutlen sidestepped Hawkinsville for a 2-1 win. Alex Sammons had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Treutlen got from the refs.

Georgia Military College's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 43 goals over those six matchups. As for Treutlen, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Everything went Georgia Military College's way against Treutlen when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Georgia Military College made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Georgia Military College since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
