Soccer Recap: Islands Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Islands was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Union Grove Wolverines who were credited with the win. The Union Grove Wolverines got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to the Islands Sharks' six.

Islands' goal came courtesy of Langston Kana, who's now up to two this season.

Islands' defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Union Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Islands wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against Dawson County on the 25th. As for Union Grove, they have also already played their next game, a 4-4 loss against Walnut Grove on the 24th.
