Basketball Recap: Adams Central Comes Up Short on the Road Against Aurora

Adams Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 59-49 to the Aurora Huskies on Thursday. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 49-43 to the Huskies when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Adams Central lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brodie Luksan, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Nepple, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Ryan Staehr had a dynamite game For Aurora., putting up 18 points. What's more, Staehr also posted a 75% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Brooks Handrup was another key player, posting 12 points.

Adams Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-52 victory against York on the 5th. As for Aurora, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-43 loss against Wahoo on the 6th.
