Softball Game Preview: Clear Lake Lions vs. Forest City Indians

Clear Lake has gone 9-1 against Forest City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Lions will welcome the Indians. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clear Lake's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Hampton-Dumont/CAL. The Lions haven't had any issues with Hampton-Dumont/CAL recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Forest City waltzed into their game on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Cadets by a score of 7-3.

Forest City pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Clear Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.

Clear Lake skirted past Forest City 11-9 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
