Kankakee is a perfect 10-0 against Rich Township since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Kays will head out to face off against the Raptors at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kankakee has ten straight wins, Rich Township has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Kankakee proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Stagg 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given Kankakee's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Stagg are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Rich Township lost 7-1 to Homewood-Flossmoor on Monday.

Kankakee's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Rich Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Kankakee took their win against Rich Township in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 9-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Kays since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
