Soccer Game Preview: Lakeside vs. Moreno Valley

The Lakeside Lancers will square off against the Moreno Valley Vikings at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Wednesday, Lakeside didn't have quite enough to beat Rancho Christian and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Lakeside have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Moreno Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Hemet by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Moreno Valley were the better team in the second half.

Moreno Valley's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3-2 and their overall record up to 6-4-6. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13-2.
