Basketball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silverado Hawks.

Silverado's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ce Ce Scott led the charge by dropping a double-double with 17 points and 12 boards. Scott has become a key player for the Hawks: the team is 5-2 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 1-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Romeja Craig, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Silverado, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Northview will head out to square off against Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Silverado, they will venture away from home to challenge Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
