Football Recap: Madelia Takes a Loss

Madelia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity Bulldogs and fell 32-0.

Madelia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madelia will take on Yellow Medicine East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks will be up against the Sting's rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.8 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity, they will be playing at home against Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 7.4, the Thunderbirds 12.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
