Football Game Preview: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. Great Bend Panthers + Official Tickets

The Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles will face off against the Great Bend Panthers on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Bishop Carroll sitting on three straight victories and Great Bend on nine.

Bishop Carroll is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Valley Center get on the board and left with a 14-0 win.

Bishop Carroll's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. Pius Graf was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by himself.

Meanwhile, Great Bend was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Newton 49-14. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight contests by 24 points or more so far this season.

Great Bend had a senior duo take command as Ian Premer gained 118 total yards and four touchdowns and Daxton Minton rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Those 146 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Minton. Conner Holladay was another key player, rushing for 96 yards on only seven carries.

Great Bend was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 355 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Bishop Carroll's record is now 6-3. As for Great Bend, their record now sits at 9-0.

Bishop Carroll strolled past Great Bend in their previous meeting back in October of 2019 by a score of 28-14. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Panthers' Alex Schremmer, who picked up 139 receiving yards and one score.
