Basketball Game Preview: Saint Joseph Jesters vs. Mountain View Toros

The Saint Joseph Jesters will take on the Mountain View Toros in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mountain View is hoping to do what Bishop Amat couldn't on Saturday: put an end to Saint Joseph's winning streak, which now stands at seven games. Saint Joseph breezed by Bishop Amat to the tune of 76-18. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-7.

Saint Joseph's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Bella Harmon, who went 9 for 12 on her way to 20 points in addition to 15 assists and 15 boards, and Alana White, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 16 boards. The contest was Harmon's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Martinez, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Mountain View took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 68-36 victory over South Mountain. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Toros.

Saint Joseph's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Mountain View, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
