Baseball Game Preview: The King's Academy Knights vs. Dominion Christian Knights

For the second straight game, The King's Academy will face off against Dominion Christian. The King's Academy will square off against Dominion Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The King's Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

The King's Academy fell victim to Dominion Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to Dominion Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss The King's Academy has suffered since March 18th.

For Dominion Christian's part, Gabe Buckner made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Buckner has posted since back in March of 2024. Dominion Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The King's Academy only posted an OBP of .286.

The victory was the 15th in a row for Dominion Christian, bringing their record up to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for The King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster.
