Basketball Recap: Boron Bobcats vs. Bishop Union Broncos

After flying high against Frazier Mountain on Friday, Boron came back down to earth. The Bobcats lost 43-19 to the Bishop Union Broncos on Tuesday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Broncos recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Bishop Union's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Faye Spoohunter, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. Those six steals gave Spoohunter a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tannyr Ludwick, who earned 13 points and six steals.

Boron's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Bishop Union, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.
