Baseball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern lost to Borden back in April of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Musketeers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves.

Eastern saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Eastern's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Borden, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-12 record.

Coming up, Eastern will square off against North Harrison at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Borden, they will take on Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
