Softball Recap: Academy for Classical Education Comes Up Short

Academy for Classical Education and Banks County squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Academy for Classical Education had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Leopards by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Gryphons couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Giselle Giles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

Academy for Classical Education's loss dropped their record down to 23-11. As for Banks County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-4.

While Academy for Classical Education had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
