Baseball Recap: Perry Takes a Loss

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ware County Gators. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since April 25, 2024.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Ware County, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Perry will challenge rival Benedictine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ware County is set to take on their familiar foe Warner Robins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Ware County 2.3, Warner Robins 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
