Football Recap: Smith Center Starts off Right with Win over Chapman

Smith Center gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Chapman Irish by a score of 16-6. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Redmen were the (much) better team in the second half.

Smith Center and Chapman will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Redmen will challenge rival Phillipsburg on Friday. Meanwhile, Chapman is set to square off against their familiar foe Abilene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
