Soccer Recap: Marina Takes a Loss

Marina managed to keep up with St. Francis until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Marina Mariners lost 4-1 to the St. Francis Sharks. Having soared to a lofty seven goals in the game before, the Mariners couldn't push the score so high this time.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for St. Francis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marina will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Francis at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. As for St. Francis, they will face off against Anzar at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Francis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.
