Football Recap: Robert Spry Leads Jackson County's Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Jackson County won the last time they faced Dacula and things went their way on Friday too. The Panthers secured a 30-26 W over the Falcons.

Jackson County found their leader in sophomore Jayson Lee, who rushed for 119 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Jackson County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Robert Spry, Kaleb Culver, and Tyler Mobbs picked up one apiece. Mobbs has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Dacula's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Garrison G Cantrell, who threw for 278 yards and two TDs. 132 of those passing yards were hauled in by Isaac Kareem-Maman, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Jackson County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Dacula, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Jackson County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th. As for Dacula, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Duluth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 880 yards in their previous games.
