Tift County and Lowndes are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tift County Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Lowndes Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tift County is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Tift County managed to slip by Camden County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Tift County lost 4-0 to Camden County on Friday. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Blue Devils it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lowndes). They never let Valdosta get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vikings needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Their offense was hitting Valdosta from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Joseph Rudolphi led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Lowndes' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Tift County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Tift County's way against Lowndes in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Tift County made off with a 10-0 victory. Will Tift County repeat their success, or does Lowndes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
