Basketball Recap: Redwood Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Redwood Christian can now relate to. They were beaten by the Willits Wolverines 59-20 on Tuesday. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.

When it comes to explaining why Redwood Christian lost, don't look at Amaya Rivas. Despite the final result, she posted 12 points.

Willits' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Arion Martin, who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Chavez, who earned nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for Redwood Christian and nudges their season record down to 14-13. As for Willits, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Redwood Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Willits, they will challenge Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Willits' defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Kennedy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
