Gilbert extended their winning streak to 12 games thanks to a huge performance from Aspen McClees. The Gilbert Tigers came out on top against the Higley Knights by a score of 61-49 on Tuesday thanks in part to McClees, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Another player making a difference was Contessa Ivy, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Despite the defeat, Higley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cadence Murdough dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelin Holloway, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Gilbert pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 35.1% in those games and 21.6% outside of them. As for Higley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

Gilbert wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-40 win against Highland on the 13th. As for Higley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-58 defeat against Williams Field on the 12th.
