Softball Preview: Irwin County Indians vs. Berrien Rebels

Irwin County is 2-8 against Berrien since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Indians will venture away from home to take on the Rebels at 6:00 p.m. Irwin County will be looking to extend their current 19-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Irwin County made easy work of Fitzgerald and carried off a 21-2 victory. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lyla Moore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in August.
