Soccer Recap: Grundy Center Comes Up Short on the Road Against Aplington-Parkersburg

Grundy Center had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 6-2 to the Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons. If Grundy Center were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to Aplington-Parkersburg when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The victory (which was Aplington-Parkersburg's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Grundy Center wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 7-3 win against South Tama County on the 5th. As for Aplington-Parkersburg, they will head out on the road to take on Hudson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hudson will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Aplington-Parkersburg surely won't give up without a fight.
