Oxnard is 9-1 against Pacifica since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Oxnard Yellowjackets will head out on the road to challenge the Pacifica Tritons at 7:00 p.m. Oxnard will be strutting in after a victory while Pacifica will be coming in after a loss.

Oxnard took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past San Marcos 59-33. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Royals are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Pacifica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against Ventura, falling 71-26. The Tritons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-10.

Oxnard is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.9 points per game. As for Pacifica, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Everything went Oxnard's way against Pacifica when the teams last played on January 7th, as Oxnard made off with a 60-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oxnard since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
