Baseball Game Preview: Jackson Jaguars vs. Creekside Seminoles

Jackson is a perfect 6-0 against Creekside since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Jackson Jaguars will head out to square off against the Creekside Seminoles at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jackson has three straight victories, Creekside has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Jaguars on Saturday. Jackson was the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Stephenson. Jackson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Thornton Wilder looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Jackson got a massive performance out of Seth Geter, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Jackson is undefeated when Geter posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Charlie Schrope was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-1.

Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stephenson only posted an OBP of .250.

Meanwhile, Creekside lost 14-1 to Jackson on Friday.

Creekside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lawrence Wilder, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. MAKHI WOODHOUSE also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Creekside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Everything went Jackson's way against Creekside when the teams last played on Friday, as Jackson made off with a 14-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
