Basketball Recap: Maple River Comes Up Short

Maple River lost to Hatton/Northwood back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Eagles took a 47-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 126th in Minnesota, while the Thunder are ranked 27th in North Dakota).

Maple River's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Hatton/Northwood, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Maple River has already played their next game (against Richland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hatton/Northwood, they will face off against Larimore at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
