Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Wheeler took on Cornerstone Prep Academy on Monday. The Wildcats lost 13-5 to the Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly eight runs.

Wheeler saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vaden McCarty, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another was James Behzadi, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

North Cobb's loss dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Wheeler, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-22.

North Cobb took their win against Wheeler in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
