Softball Recap: Moore Takes a Loss

Moore had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 15-5 to make it four. They fell just short of the Tahlequah Tigers by a score of 6-5. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for Tahlequah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games.

For Tahlequah's part, Lilly Garcia was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Rylee Stark, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Moore has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 win against Claremore on the 27th. As for Tahlequah, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Tuttle on the 27th.
