Foothill Tech barely beat Santa Clara the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dragons took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 56-18 win over the Saints. The Dragons have beaten the Saints the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Saints has come to flipping the script.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Foothill Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Annabella Baum, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 14 boards. Baum is becoming a predictor of the Dragons' success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Morales, who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Foothill Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Foothill Tech's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Santa Clara, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Foothill Tech will take on Santa Barbara in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Santa Clara, they will face off against Bishop Diego at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Saints' defense better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 52.1 points per game this season.
