While Pleasant Valley's victory against Davenport West wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. The one-run effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for Pleasant Valley and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Davenport West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
