League recap: Open Bible Christian paces GCAA - South B with four wins over past week

GCAA - South B league recap: 3/13/13

Open Bible Christian had a successful week, as it won four total games to lead the league. Open Bible Christian beat Valwood 16-9 and Bible Baptist Christian 15-0.

John Worsley was the hottest hitter in GCAA - South B this week, racking up a .444 average with seven RBIs. Open Bible Christian compiled a record of 4-0 in that time.

Appling Christian Academy's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing eight hits and ten walks to lead the league in both categories.

Even after stealing 15 bases to lead the league over the past week, Appling Christian Academy is still looking up at Open Bible Christian, which ranks No. 1 in steals, with 19 on the year.

The league boasted four .400 hitters over the past week. Leading the pack was Caleb Bowden, who hit .556 by going 5-for-9.



Worsley's seven RBIs this week were tops in the league. He now stands at seven RBIs on the season, which puts him third in the league.

Daniel Beasley drove in four runners as Appling Christian Academy defeated Byne Christian 21-0 on Friday. He went 3-for-4 and scored two runs.
