Softball Recap: Rangeview Takes a Loss

Rangeview kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Poudre Impalas. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 21-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2016.

Azul Macias made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Jimena Vasquez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

The victory got Poudre back to even at 1-1.

Rangeview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-2 defeat against Timnath on the 22nd. As for Poudre, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-9 loss against Thornton on the 22nd.
