Baseball Recap: Shaw Takes a Loss

Shaw came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Columbus Blue Devils by a score of 9-7 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since February 18th.

Sincere Ford and Deshaun Mays stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ford scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Mays scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Lovett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Shaw has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season. As for Columbus, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.
