After a string of five wins, Cedartown's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paulding County Patriots. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Cedartown's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Paulding County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-6.

Coming up, Cedartown will challenge Allatoona at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.8, the Buccaneers 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Paulding County, they will host McEachern at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
