Basketball Game Preview: El Rancho Dons vs. Arcadia Apaches

Having just played yesterday, the El Rancho Dons will get right back to it and host the Arcadia Apaches at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, El Rancho put up the most points they have all season on Monday. They took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Poly. The loss was the Dons' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Arcadia gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Monday. They blew past Rosemead 60-16. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-1.

Arcadia's win came from a few key players El Rancho will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Maddie Tran, who posted 13 points and eight steals. Misaki O'Donell was another key player, putting up five points along with 11 steals and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, El Rancho fell to 3-1. As for Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

El Rancho won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, slipping by Arcadia 47-46. Will the Dons repeat their success, or do the Apaches have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
