Softball Recap: Millard North's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Millard North entered their tilt with Lincoln Southeast on Friday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Knights. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 16 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Abby Beard and Jayda Juarez did most of the damage at the plate: Beard went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Juarez went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Beard has posted over her last 15 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Closman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Millard North always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .680. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln Southeast only posted an OBP of .400.

Millard North's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Lincoln Southeast, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Coincidentally, Millard North and Lincoln Southeast will both be playing Kearney the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Bearcats at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
