Football Game Preview: Clovis Wildcats vs. Organ Mountain Knights + Official Tickets

The Clovis Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Organ Mountain Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clovis is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Clovis is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Las Cruces, who was ranked first at the time (Clovis was ranked 18th). The Wildcats were dealt a 56-6 defeat at the hands of the Bulldawgs on Friday. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

Meanwhile, Organ Mountain played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Carlsbad, falling 35-7. While the Knights had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Cavemen/Cavegirls 7-0.

Clovis will have to contain Zeke Weir as he made an impact in Organ Mountain's last game. He picked up 135 receiving yards and one TD. Weir was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 62 yards.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Organ Mountain, the defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-5.

Clovis ended up a good deal behind Organ Mountain in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 42-24. Thankfully for the Wildcats, Xavier Perez (who rushed for 167 yards and four scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 153 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
