Soccer Game Preview: The King's Academy vs. Pinecrest Academy

The King's Academy will head out to square off against the Pinecrest Academy Paladins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinecrest Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on The King's Academy, who comes in off a win.

The King's Academy took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Fideles Christian get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Pinecrest Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Norcross, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Pinecrest Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Norcross are ranked third).

The King's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four contests. As for Pinecrest Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

The King's Academy couldn't quite get it done against Pinecrest Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 3-1. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
