Butte Valley is 9-1 against Surprise Valley since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Butte Valley is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Lost River just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. 2025 welcomed they with a 58-38 loss courtesy of the Raiders. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kohen Thomas put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted ten points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Surprise Valley was beaten by Burney 54-12 back in December of 2024. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Surprise Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Butte Valley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
