Soccer Game Preview: Torres vs. Central

The Torres Toros will challenge the Central Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Torres will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Torres' defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sanger by a score of 2-0. Give Torres' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Emma Velasquez and Elihanna Gallegos scored both of Torres' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Central's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sanger West on Tuesday.

Torres' win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-11.
