Basketball Game Preview: Kearny Komets vs. Canyon Hills Rattlers

Kearny is 0-4 against Canyon Hills since January of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Kearny Komets will venture away from home to square off against the Canyon Hills Rattlers at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Tuesday, Kearny lost to Coronado at home by a 44-27 margin.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Canyon Hills' good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were beaten by Lincoln 59-7. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 709th, while the Hornets are ranked 110th).

Canyon Hills' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9. As for Kearny, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Kearny came up short against Canyon Hills in their previous meeting back in January, falling 39-34. Can Kearny avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
